ABOUT
Here at SRMHS, the purpose of the band program is to educate young people through performance. Students are motivated through teamwork, performance objectives, and evaluation to mature as a musician, performer, student, and as a person. The curriculum is varied and cyclical in nature. The comprehensive program encompasses four years of high school study. Individual development of character, esteem, teamwork, and group accomplishment can be additional rewards of the program.

The Band Parent Association
The SRMHS Band Parent Association (BPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates to support the education of young people at Southeast Raleigh High School through musical and auxiliary performances. The Band BPA supports the individual’s development of character, self-esteem, teamwork, and leadership skills. The SRMHS BPA does not receive funding from Wake County Schools or Southeast Raleigh High School.
In order to provide support for the SRMHS Band and the auxiliary groups associated with the band, the boosters must raise their own funds through various means, such as fundraising and fair share payments. This is done with two primary goals: 1) to cover the normal operating cost of the organization and 2) to cover the capital needs of the organization. If you would like to donate or sponsorship to the band, please visit our Donations page or Contact the BPA's executive leadership to inquire how you can assist the band.
